Screenwriter

Leigh is a screenwriter based in Los Angeles. Her love of film & TV goes back as long as she can remember, but it

was when her parents gifted her the movie Jaws on VHS for her 5th birthday that Leigh knew she was destined to

work in the film & TV industry. Some could argue this was a questionable parental choice considering Leigh’s young

age, but her parents recognized that there was a true passion within her. That’s why there was no objection from

them when Leigh decided to study both Film & Psychology at the University of Miami. While at UM Leigh was

introduced to screenwriting and it was love at first slugline. 

Since graduating college in 2017, Leigh has written three feature films, three TV specs, one original animated

pilot and two shorts that have all gone on to place at top screenwriting competitions such as The Austin Film Festival, ScreenCraft, The Golden Script Competition and WeScreenplay. Her spec script, Bob’s Burgers: There Will Be Blood Tina, was one of three finalists in the 2021 Austin Film Festival Competition and was in the top 2% on Coverfly.

Life is beautiful, but tough; messy, but inspiring. Leigh writes stories that encompass all of the fun & ugliness

that life has to offer in hopes that it’ll make the audience feel less alone. Making sure to always blend both comedy

and drama in her scripts, Leigh’s character driven narratives will take you on an emotional journey. 

Life is not just one genre, so Leigh makes sure her scripts aren’t either. A true human observer, Leigh’s scripts act as both an escape and a catharsis.

When Leigh is not writing, at the movies or binging TV, you can find her enjoying a good bagel, watching the sunset

at the beach, on a long walk,  or swimming at The Hollywood Roosevelt.
